Jonathan Besser

Jonathan Besser (piano/director) - Has composed for major orchestras, chamber groups and dance companies . He’s been performing with and composing for his own ensembles since the mid 80’s, and has released numerous commercial recordings.

Miranda AdamsMiranda Adams (violin) – Miranda is Assistant Concertmaster for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. She is expert in many kinds of musical performance, from Gamelan to electric fuzz violin. She also records for Concert FM, performs with the Tasman Piano Trio, conducts chamber orchestras, and teaches. She is the leader of the Jade String Quartet and performs in Vivo

Tatiana LanchtchikovaTatiana Lanchtchikova (accordion) - A recent arrival to New Zealand from Siberia, Tatiana is an exciting and intense musician, who is already in big demand in Auckland, performing in her own Tango band and with composer Don McGlashan.
Nigel GavinNigel Gavin (guitar)- Without a doubt one of the best and most innovative guitarists in New Zealand. He has performed internationally with the likes of Robert Fripp, the Jews Brothers and the Nairobi Trio, and founded Gitbox Rebellion. He’s a very busy and highly creative performer on both sides of the Tasman.His 2004 solo guitar album ‘Thrum’ received a lot of critical acclaim. Nigel is performing in the Melbourne International Guitar festival on March 2005. He’s a very busy and highly creative performer on both sides of the Tasman. A new Solo guitar album is expected out mid 2006
Peter ScottPeter Scott (bass) - Has played bass with every leading jazz group in Auckland. In England he was bass player for the 80’s group ‘Madness’; He performed with Doctor John and he has recorded with Greg Johnson and now appears regularly in Australia and New Zealand with the Jews Brothers.

Yair Katz (percussion)- Since arriving in New Zealand from Israel two years ago he has regularly performed with many musicians in Auckland, including Whirimako Black, Mamuka Project (both playing NZ WOMAD in 2007), Ishta, Dan Sperber and Bravura, as well as free sessions at the Luxemburg Gardens.
